Cloud infrastructure design and migration for federal programs, with a focus on secure, resilient architectures and the authority-to-operate process that federal systems live and die by.
Anansi Systems designs, migrates, and operates the cloud and data platforms that mission-critical programs run on — and the connective tissue that holds them together.
Start a conversation What we doAnansi Systems is a cloud and data platform engineering firm built by two practicing engineers. We work on the infrastructure and data layers of federal programs — the cloud foundations agencies deploy into, the databases their missions depend on, and the pipelines that move information between them.
Our capability spans the full path: cloud architecture and migration on one side, data platform engineering on the other. We handle the parts most engagements treat as someone else's problem — the migrations that must not lose fidelity, the interfaces nobody owns, the automation that makes an environment survivable after handoff.
We are small on purpose. You talk to the engineers doing the work, and every decision has a name attached to it.
The way a firm runs its own infrastructure is the clearest signal of how it will run yours.
The right store depends on the access pattern, the consistency requirement, and the cost profile — not on which technology we know best. We will tell you when the boring answer is the correct one.
Environments are defined in code and reviewed before they are applied. Every change has a plan you can read, a history you can audit, and a path back.
Separate accounts, least-privilege access, and centralized logging. Isolation is a security boundary, not a convenience — one environment's failure should never reach another's.
Decisions, tradeoffs, and the reasoning behind them, written down while they are fresh. A runbook nobody wrote is a risk nobody priced.
You talk to the engineers doing the work. No layer between the decision and the person who has to live with it.
Federal programs carry constraints commercial work does not: compliance posture, authority to operate, and uptime that is not negotiable. We design for those from the start.
Cloud architecture and data platform engineering, covering the path from infrastructure foundation to the data that runs on it.

Database and data platform engineering across federal cloud programs — legacy migration, polyglot persistence, and the automation and observability layers that keep a platform manageable after it ships.
We are standing up the firm the same way we would stand up a client platform — foundation first, documented as we go.
We are actively seeking subcontract and teaming opportunities on federal cloud and data modernization work.
